Montrose Health Group Announces the Appointment of Stuart Green as Operations Director

Montrose Health Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart Green to the position of Compliance and Operations Director. In this role, Stuart will oversee the development of Montrose Health Group and build on the excellent work provided by staff to clients’ experience of working and accessing Montrose by utilising different resources through his 25 years’ experience of working across the healthcare sector.

Having previously held senior roles within the NHS, as well as developing addiction services across the North, Stuart has extensive experience across residential rehab services in London and Yorkshire . He has led transformative projects in Doncaster, managing drug and alcohol services and been instrumental in developing one of seven NHS  inpatient detox services in the country grounded in the biopsychosocial model of holistic care. Stuart successfully launched and expanded a 3-bed unit into a 12-bed facility, created robust day programmes, aftercare, and early intervention initiatives, and pioneered partnership work addressing complex lives and homelessness which won a national MJ award 1st place. Notably, Stuart helped develop and roll out harm reduction initiatives such as naloxone and needle exchange provision as well as developing  Recovery Colleges, uniting lived, worked, and taught experience in the field of addiction to come together to share best practise.

Stuart with his colleague also developed the extremely successful Recovery Games which sees up to 1000 people coming together in recovery to show visible wellness through fund style gladiator games.  Stuart presented this approach as part of building and connecting Recovery Capital at United Nations CND in Vienna.

This journey led Stuart to become part of Dame Carol Black’s government advisory task force, shaping the mobilization of the 10-year drug strategy with a focus on lived experience reference groups and the launch of LERO’s (Lived Experience Recovery Organizations) during the pandemic.

Having spoken on recovery and wellbeing at the United Nations, Stuart is super excited to hit the ground running — bringing both his lived experience of addictions and 25 years of working in the field of addictions to Montrose Health Group , where he is determined to drive meaningful, lasting change and empower individuals through his great belief that “that people are experts on themselves and don’t understand their full untapped potential. The most underutilised person in a therapeutic appointment is often themselves.”

Founder and CEO, Jonathan Edgeley comments, “We’re delighted to welcome Stuart Green to the team as our new Operations Director. Stuart brings a wealth of experience, strategic insight, and a genuine passion for service development. He is already proving to be an absolute asset to the business, and we have no doubt that his leadership will play a key role in driving our growth and strengthening the quality of what we deliver. We’re excited for what’s ahead and look forward to the incredible work Stuart will help us achieve in the years to come.”

This appointment reflects Montrose’s ongoing commitment to expanding its capabilities within luxury healthcare and specialised mental health and addiction services whilst delivering tailored 1-1 care packages to its clients.
