Dr Daniela Tomus

Dr. Daniela Maria Tomus is a Consultant Psychiatrist registered with GMC as Consultant Psychiatrist since 03/02/2011. Dr. Tomus's qualifications and experience include extensive work with children, adolescents and adults, providing psychiatric assessments and treatment for conditions such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and depression. Her experience spans both remote online practice and in-person roles.

Dr. Tomus has significant experience in clinical review of complex ADHD cases, risk management, medication recommendations, and chairing multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings. 

Dr. Tomus has leadership experience and contributed to policy oversight, prescribing governance, quality improvement, and the development of clinical pathways for neurodevelopmental conditions.

Prior to her registration as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the United Kingdom in 2011, Dr Tomus gained extensive experience in Romania and the United States. In Romania, she trained and worked as a General Practitioner, School Psychodiagnostician , Speech Therapist, and later as a Resident and Specialist Doctor (Consultant equivalent). Her roles involved diagnosing and treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders, including neurodevelopmental conditions and conducting forensic assessments. In the USA, she worked as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students with severe learning and mental disabilities, ADHD, and autism, and developing Individual Education Plans. Her early career also includes experience as a nurse in intensive care and general surgery.
